NetEnt has finally made good on their London ICE 2020 promise of “adding a bit of glamour and bling to their catalog”. However, they allowed partner Red Tiger to do the heavy lifting, if we can call it that. The end product, Trillionaire, is heavily inspired by FashionTV, which is exactly what it sounds like. If you’re into that scene, you’ll probably find this game interesting, but regular players might be nauseated by the overdose of superficiality.

The game is visually well-done, but that sort of goes with the territory, as the visual presentation is the end all be all of this whole industry. Glitz and glamour abounds for sure, but the 1,000x potential hardly lives up to the game’s title and ambition. Therein lies the greatest flaw, and it doesn’t help that this monumental irony seems to be totally lost on the game’s creator.

Red Tiger has really outdone themselves when it comes to the math model in this game, but not in a good way. One has to wonder why they would set themselves up in such an obvious sarcasm/irony trap. If you’re going to make a “high fashion” slot called Trillionaire, then for God’s sake flex some muscles when it comes to potential. Landing 1,000x payouts is hardly enough to buy a new pair of shoes for the up-scale crowd this title is meant to appeal to.

Visually, the glamour is oozing out of every powdered pore, and Red Tiger has really captured the soulsucking emptiness of the whole fashion industry. Perhaps Patrick Bateman would have enjoyed this game as a warm-up to a night of murder, mayhem and martinis, but regular folks will hardly touch a glossy, hollow thing like this with a ten-foot pole.

Especially not when the non-ironic potential comes across as a sick joke.
