We are used to far better visuals from this developer, but if you can look past the exterior there is a pretty strong game underneath. Truth be told, Shamrock Miner comes across as the first attempt from some new and inexperienced team the otherwise experienced developer has hired to reduce the workload. Visually, it’s well below what we’ve learned to expect from Play’n Go, and we also don’t like that you cannot play with a clean £1 stake.

The gameplay itself is not too shabby however, but the Big Bass Bonanza influence is obvious to any experienced punter. The fact that wild collectors can land anywhere, and that you can get a random multiplier boost, lifts the experience to a new level. The bonus round is still very hit or miss, and in our case it was definitely a miss. Leprechaun and mining slot lovers now have a decent alternative to Big Bass, and the 5,000x potential is certainly competitive enough.
